July 18, 2024 featured the Ignite the Culture Celebrity Basketball Game, bringing together professional athletes, entertainers, and community leaders for an unforgettable day of inspiration and impact. Special guests included Pro Bowl quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, Grammy-nominated multi-platinum producer London On Da Track, former NFL tight end Weslye Saunders, and many more. The event also featured an outstanding Mental Health Panel, where influential voices shared powerful conversations on emotional wellness, resilience, and overcoming adversity, creating meaningful dialogue that resonated with youth and families throughout the community.

December 6, 2025 marked another milestone for Ignite the Culture Weekend as artists from across the country took the stage to compete in a talent search dedicated to positive, purpose-driven music. The event welcomed an incredible lineup of special guests, including 2× NBA Champion Mario Chalmers, Grammy-nominated multi-platinum producer London On Da Track, Young Thug, Michael Beasley, Keith Bogans, and more. Together, they helped inspire the next generation of artists by demonstrating that talent, authenticity, and positive influence can create lasting impact both on and off the stage.

The inaugural Ignite the Culture Music Talent Search marked the beginning of a movement to discover and elevate artists whose music inspires, uplifts, and creates positive change. More than a competition, it provided emerging talent with a platform to perform before industry leaders, connect with new audiences, and prove that powerful music can succeed without glorifying violence, drugs, or the degradation of others.

On July 22nd, 2021, rapper NLE Choppa and friends gathered for an evening of positivity at a private location in Miami. The 8x platinum artist hosted a PPV Celebrity basketball game to benefit the Above .500 Foundation. This exclusive event featured a handful of celebrity guests such as Fredo Bang, Spotemgottem, Sada Baby and more and included a Pre-Game show that highlighted the participants positive work in the community, a halftime rap cypher, and an awards presentation.

On July 20, 2023, we held our 3nd Annual Celebrity Basketball Game. We began the event with a panel on mental health and school and ended with an exciting celebrity basketball game that went into overtime. Ignite the Culture is a charity event featuring a celebrity basketball game, a rap cypher, and an awards presentation. Our games has featured current and former NFL, NBA, & MLB players, music stars, actors and actresses and more who come together to raise money for great causes.

On July 21, 2022, we held our 2nd Annual Celebrity Basketball Game. Ignite the Culture is a charity event featuring a celebrity basketball game, a rap cypher, and an awards presentation. Our games has featured current and former NFL, NBA, & MLB players, music stars, actors and actresses and more who come together to raise money for great causes.
DAVONE BESS' CELEBRITY BOWLING

Above .500 debuted the non-profit organization in collaboration with Davone Bess’ Celebrity Bowling Classic with the Miami Dolphins in South Beach, Florida. The sold out event had food, drinks, music and special guests that included Reggie Bush, Brian Hartline, and more. The organized event held an auction benefiting the United Negro College Fund, and the fans had a chance to get autographs, take pictures and bowl with the Miami Dolphins.
FCAT DREAM RALLY
MLK Community Center
Hollywood, FL
Students from different schools got together for this FCAT Dream Rally at the Martin Luther King Community Center in Hollywood, FL. Hosted by Felisha Monet from 99 Jamz, the students enjoyed the step show, the marching band and dancing. Burnie from the Miami Heat made an appearance as the children won prizes and listened to encouraging words before their upcoming FCAT.

Above .500's Dream Rally at Liberty Middle School had the kids engaged and extremely hyped about what they dream to become when they grow up! Athletes and speakers are changing the way young adults think. Above .500 donated school supplies and provided food, drinks, autographs and prizes over great conversations with over 100 students!
JIMMY WILSON'S CHARITY SOFTBALL GAME
Baseball Field at Florida International University
Miami, FL
The Miami Dolphins alongside other celebs competed in a friendly softball charity game at the FIU Baseball Field. The event began with a home run derby (won by Jason Fox) and ended with a waterballoon fight. Fans got to meet and greet the players, participate in a silent auction and heard an inspirational story from Scleroderma Survivor, Jessica Massengale.
CHRIS DUFFY CELEBRITY SOFTBALL GAME
Jay Bergman Field at University of Central Florida

Celebrities and their fans gathered together at the Jay Bergman Field at UCF to attend Chris Duffy's Annual Hit & Run Celebrity Softball Game. The charity event hosted by Above .500 brought the Central Florida community together to enjoy music, food, and entertainment. Proceeds benefited Above .500 and the Jackie Robinson Program. Special guests included World Series MVP and 2x All-Star David Eckstein, former Orlando Magic players Bo Outlaw and Nick Anderson, Marquis Daniels, Kevin Smith, and many more!
FCAT DREAM RALLY
Meadow Woods Middle School

Founder/CEO of Above .500, Brawley, First Team All-American Baseball Player, Chris Duffy, UCF Football Champion, Sean Maag, Orlando's hottest promoter, H-Dot and hottest DJ in town, DJ Malachi: all Meadow Woods Alumni, came back 12 years later to prepare the students for the FCAT. The Above .500 team gave away prizes, danced with the students, and emphasized the importance of never giving up and working hard for what they want.
